A cost-plus contract allows clients to review and approve a baseline estimate of the project’s actual costs—including labor and materials—plus a standard contractor markup. This approach provides flexibility, transparency, and adaptability as the project unfolds.​
Unlike fixed-price contracts, where the total cost is locked in at the beginning, cost-plus agreements are designed to accommodate changes in scope, unexpected challenges, or new ideas that arise during the renovation process—without the need for contract renegotiation.​
